Greater Things Today is a Christ-centered, revival-focused movement with mandates of hosting God’s presence, healing the whole person, and equipping the body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. As part of the home-church movement, we are pursuing personal revival, spiritual growth, and bringing the hope of Jesus to the lost and broken.
Our objective is to facilitate and resource the home-church movement. Specifically, individuals, husbands and wives and families who feel called to start hosting Bible studies, prayer gatherings, worship gatherings, healing or deliverance ministry outside the context of traditional church.
Greater Things Today is founded by Ami Thomson and her husband Scott in response to God's miracle working power in their marriage and individual lives. In 2018, Ami experienced a radical encounter with God. In that encounter she was healed of panic attacks, hypertension and hypothyroidism. From that point on, she vowed to live fully and completely for Jesus and bring him all the honor and glory for the rest of her life. To that end Greater Things Today was birthed.
Speaker and author Ami Thomson holds a B.A. in Psychology, M.A. in Applied Psychology, and is a Pragmatic Institute Certified Product Manager and Business Analyst. After twenty years in the corporate business world, she founded with her husband Scott a consulting business (1Group Consulting) and published her first book "Fear Not! Unleash the Conqueror Within".
As a culture-changing child of God, Ami is passionate about perceiving, applying, and receiving all that the blood, body, and resurrection of Christ Jesus make available to God’s children, thereby undoing the works of the enemy in Jesus’s name. She teaches and disciples others to do the same. Ami and her husband Scott have three world-changing children.
